
Rossella Abeti
Dr Rosella Abeti is an Italian/British Neuroscientist. She completed her degree at University “Sapienza” in Rome. She then moved to London after being awarded a PhD studentship at University College London. She successfully completed her PhD studying the molecular basis of Alzheimer’s Disease.
As a post-graduate, she joined the Ataxia Centre at Queen Square Institute of Neurology to study the physiopathology of a rare form of ataxia. Among her scientific contributions, she performed crucial basic research studies that led to discovering a novel drug to help Friedreich’s Ataxia affected patients, which was featured in the news around the world.
