Riccardo Giumelli
An aphorism that more than others represents him is what Machiavelli wrote, quoting Boccaccio: “it is better to do and repent, than not to do and repent”.
Like them, he is Tuscan, a restless soul in search of ports to land and start again. After studying Political Science, two Master’s degrees, one of which is international, in Communication and Media and in International Communication and a PHD in Sociology of Communication, he began to love research, teaching and writing, to the point that he stayed at the University, first Florence then Trento and now Verona. Sociologist, he teaches “Theories and Techniques of Communication” at the University of Verona.
He is Visiting Professor at the University of Mar del Plata and Professor of “Methodology of research in digital society” at the University Unimercatorum.
He is a journalist for La Voce di New York.
He is President of the Italy-United States Association of Verona.
He is a member of the Common Board of Schola Italica, a center of higher education on Made in Italy and of the Scientific Committee of the Rapporto Italiani nel Mondo (RIM) of the Migrantes Foundation.
He is author of monographs, national and international scientific articles.
